Nestled in the scenic Tāhunanui Hills, the Coastal View Lifestyle Village, in Nelson, is conveniently located close to the city and just a short drive from Tāhunanui Beach.
Coastal View’s sunny and spacious houses offer a variety of options, with two or three bedrooms and single or double garages. Each house has open-plan living and areas flowing seamlessly onto beautiful landscaped gardens.
With broad, sweeping views over Tasman Bay, the Yacht Club—exclusively for village residents and their guests—features a restaurant, café, bar, bakery, gym, movie theatre, indoor swimming pool, spa, library, wellness centre, and more. The Yacht Club serves as the social and recreational heart of Coastal View Lifestyle Village. It’s a premium community hub designed for relaxation, engagement, and wellness. Residents are able to join TRILife exercise classes, watch celebrity guest speakers, enjoy cabaret evenings and dance to live music without leaving the village.
Coastal View has a resthome/hospital facility and a separate specialised dementia centre. Both facilities are single storey, with large apartment-sized care suites - each with ensuites... and personal decks, leading to tranquil gardens.

Thoughtful monthly 'family' style dinner with outstanding food. Great relationship manager oversees resident welfare.

4 / 5 ★Everything is new with a lot of constuction ongoing, this has not impacted too greatly for residents. The downside of the development is that new construction has unnecessarily reduced views for a number of villas for the sake of 2 under construction which is a shame as the views were there for all to enjoy.

4 / 5 ★Some very silly rules, e.g. Not walking on the grass. Positives: safe, secure. All the above I've answered. Sometimes info is slow in being passed along, e.g. When houses are sold etc.

3 / 5 ★For a lifestyle village the atmosphere is very good. [In my opinion] there are a couple of disruptive people who sometimes bully a couple of vulnerable residents but most of us keep an eye on it. (eds.)
Generally very good staff
3 / 5 ★Generally very good staff and other residents- will never include / be all good residents. Purchased a 4 person lift villa. Lift not reliable so currently being replaced with a very small 2 person lift which is not what we want.
