Five Star
5 / 5 ★
Kandahar supports my independent living by providing processes to contact maintenance staff or care support if I need it. And staff are visible on a daily basis. Regular + one off outings/activities are just right.

Very Welcoming and Helpful
5 / 5 ★
My mother 98 in Home 2025 (died recently). Staff in main Kandahar Home & Roberts Road - Very welcome to me assisting my mother at meal times and other residents at the table. Enjoy going back to visit residents. For myself & husband Ian - Good communication with all staff & enjoy all functions organised by Committee.

All round, I love it here
5 / 5 ★
The manager. Very approachable. Our liaison. A treasure. The handy man, always on call. All cheerful whatever the weather. All round, I love it here and very happy with the lifestyle and no hassles. Recommend to others. (edited to remove names)

Overall Excellent Experience
5 / 5 ★
Since moving in (after wife of 67 years died) 1-5 years ago, my overall excellent experience with caring staff and good social atmosphere has honestly been a home away from home!

A good village, handy to town
4 / 5 ★
A good village, handy to town and close to village shops. Close to walking trails & parks. Doctors & hospital close.

Four Star
4 / 5 ★
Yes we have a community centre but it is generally kept locked. I would like it open all day - with newspapers - and be able to wander over to get a drink and chat to whoever is around. Happy hour = grumpy hour.

3 star rating
3 / 5 ★
The only staff is a person called a coordinator who works part days 2-3 days a week when she is not selling units or coping with [other matters]. People who move in are at their most independent when they move in but decline. Doesn't seem to have planned care when that happens.
