At Summerset by the Sea, our facilities are designed to take advantage of the fantastic Bay of Plenty climate. But no matter the weather, you'll always have something to do with a range of indoor facilities too. Our on-site Activities Coordinator will make sure there's always a calendar of events and activities to keep you entertained, and you can do as much or as little as you choose.
Our Divine Café and in-house catering offer contemporary food menus prepared on site with wholesome, seasonal, fresh and locally-grown produce.

Too isolated for me
2 / 5 ★Katikati is too remote for a village. Hard to drive to Tauranga for basic things. No branded shops, ie Warehouse, Bed Bath & Beyond etc. Design for indoor activities very poor. Very clicky community. Too isolated to bring in outside entertainment. Social residents committee too 'old hat'. Fees that go up year upon year - for what. This village survives on 'volunteers'. Only 1 supermarket so they have the monopoly.
