Hutt Gables Retiremen Village, in Upper Hutt, Wellington is said to be "set in beautiful gardens", and "where there's plenty of community". The Hutt Gables Village consists of 46 two-bedroom villas.
All villas, "have generous bedrooms with double wardrobes, a well appointed kitchen, large dining and lounge area, internal access garage, generous storage and are fully insulated. Positioned for the sun with lawn areas and gardens, and an impressive view of the ranges." There are also activities in the modern community centre that residents and family are invited to share in. Activities include sit-dancing, walking group, cards, housie and the mobile library visits weekly. Also - darts, indoor bowls and a pool table. There are two regular outings and two shopping trips each month, plus regular activities in the community centre.
Hutt Gables is also within easy driving distance to Upper Hutt and a range of shops, coffee bars and cafes, a library, art and entertainment centre and a swimming pool. There is a bus stop right at The Hutt Gables Retirement Village main gate and there are regular bus services to the main shops and railway station, with the main trunk line to Wellington and the Wairarapa.
