A real community
5 / 5 ★Fantastic supportive staff who do their best everyday. They care deeply about the residents. Residents genuinely enjoy living here. We are a real community who take care of each other.
So welcoming
5 / 5 ★When we first moved into the village (my husband was still alive then) in April 2021, I was quite apprehensive - having lived in the country most of my life & not being used to close neighbours etc. But was made so welcome by staff & residents that we settled in quickly.

4 / 5 ★Generally Jane Winstone is a great place. [In my opinion] the staff are undertrained although they generally do a good job. [In my experience] some staff are short or a little rude to clients and Jane Winstone management have screwed down alot re expenses. (edited)

3 / 5 ★I love my townhouse, bought from plan. Corner section, largest garden and lawn. Contract for ten years! Carpet, drapes and inside painted, mould on drapes so new drapes, 2 rooms only. I paid for venetians in lounge and spare bedroom. Company paid for one deep clean and living room carpet. I have to pay!! (Been there 18 years.)

3 / 5 ★I thought I was coming to a lively atmosphere of reasonably fit residents mentally and physically. Most residents stay in their rooms not well enough to take part in entertainment. Waste of time talking to present management.

3 / 5 ★Managers manage = brush under the carpet suggestions.

2 / 5 ★8 Managers in 17 years. Housekeeping poor until male manager came. He cleaned it up and sorted the staff. They didnt know what a retirement village was. Big turnover in cooks and kitchen staff so food suffered. I only went to fine dining. I love my T/H. Big section.
