Rymans choice in retirement village name recognises Mr Anthony Wilding, born in Christchurch in 1883. He went on to win 11 tennis Grand Slams, including 4 consecutive Wimbledon titles - and is still the only tennis player from NZ to have won GS singles title. Anthony Wilding died in action, in France in 1915, while fighting for the British Army.

Staff Happy and Extremely Helpful
5 / 5 ★The staff are happy and extremely helpful when needed. Housekeeping and medical staff and carers work so well to make us welcome and comfortable. I cannot give Anthony Wilding too high a rating!

3 / 5 ★[In my opinion there are] very little outdoor activities. Indoor entertainment - "much of a muchness" or "same old", same old". There was much more interaction where I previously lived - in a retirement village.
