Their website states "If you like, we can take care of your meals, housework and laundry, for a small additional fee, so you can spend your day doing the things that you enjoy. We have two lounges with big screen televisions and a pool table and a well-stocked library that our residents love to frequent. And if its a lovely day to go outside, our bowling green, croquet lawn and petanque terrain are available. The Taupo township is only five minutes drive away and we take regular outings there in the village van."

Pleasant atmosphere
4 / 5 ★Village has pleasant atmosphere and most residents are friendly. No pressure to join activities but plenty on offer. Staff helpful. Issues listened to, but dismissed quite easily especially if Bupa might have to spend money. Village handyman very good at responding to jobs needed doing but if outside contractor (eg plumber) required it can take ages to action, sometimes forgotten.

4 / 5 ★Since June 2018 I have lived on my own. However I cannot be lonely at Liston as it is one large happy family. We look after each other whether it be staff or resident. I will be here until the end of my life.
