Located close to Northlands Mall, Ngaio Marsh Village is set in beautifully landscaped gardens with boutique shopping nearby. Enjoy a lifestyle where you can take off on holiday knowing your home is safe and secure with lawns mowed, windows washed and mail collected while you’re away. Soak up the peace and quiet in your own sanctuary, or make the most of the village amenities like reading a book in the library or playing with the grandkids in the pool.

Our residents live in spaces created to inspire, indulge and entertain. Townhouses are designed with easy living in mind, while assisted living in a serviced apartment offers the benefits of independent living with added support to make life easier, including housekeeping and delicious chef-prepared meals.

When you feel like being social, it’s easy to challenge neighbours to a game of bowls or catch up with friends at our weekly Happy Hour.

Enhance your wellbeing with our ACC-accredited Triple A fitness programme, gym, and a social calendar of activities, events, and trips to choose from. Some residents like to organise their own hobby groups when they meet people within the village who share their interests.

Connection is woven into the fabric of our communities, and social networks grow as residents form friendships with like-minded people. Our team see our residents as family and are always keen for a story and a laugh. You’ll find your people in a Ryman village.

Along with independent and assisted living, Ngaio Marsh Village offers a range of care options to support you. These include rest home and hospital care. In some circumstances you can also choose to receive rest home care in your own serviced apartment.

Trust is built over time, and Ryman has been recognised in the Trusted Brands Awards for 13 years in a row. We've won an incredible 11 times and been highly commended twice. Our residents and their families know they can rely on Ryman, year after year. This recognition is complemented by our Canstar Blue award for Most Satisfied Customers, highlighting the exceptional lifestyle and amenities our villages offer.

It's what sets us apart, and we invite you to visit to experience it for yourself. Better still, talk to our residents and their families - they're the experts!

Always happy here

Couldn't be happier here
5 / 5 ★
The friendliness of staff & residents, the inclusiveness in activities, the absolute absolute 'individuality', the trees, the stream make this village out on its own. Other places visited before coming to Ngaio Marsh were sterile & lacking in personality. I couldn't be happier here.

Pleasant area and peaceful
3 / 5 ★
Would a coffee shop brighten up the community? Pleasant area, peaceful. Very beautiful grounds, well kept. Friendly in passing. Close to amenities. I expected much more life about the place. Activities are somewhat restrictive and I perceive a distinct reluctance to change, retry or suggest new. Few resident-led activities. Maybe a split between men/women must stop. What happened to fun?

A modern social hub/ cafe is required to promote social interaction. Given what other villages are now offering, Ngaio Marsh needs to invest in refurbishment of the community area to enhance the facilities there. This could include an outdoor dining area for the warmer seasons.
