Ryman Top On All Counts
5 / 5 ★Carried out due diligence on four local retirement villages and Ryman can top on all counts. Village layout is excellent, all staff are helpful and friendly, parent company adheres to published ethos. Full range of care, serviced, independent, dementia, end of life. Communication is frequent and clear. Our quality of life has fundamentally been improved.
Friendly and Inclusive
5 / 5 ★Ours is a very young-at-heart village which is very inclusive and welcoming, no-one is a stranger. Our staff from village manager to cleaners are friendly, knowledgeable and pro-active. Keith Park is our home.

Now that we have a cafe, (which is great) I am surprised about how small it is
4 / 5 ★Now that we have a cafe, (which is great) I am surprised about how small it is, considering, when every apartment is occupied, that it will be struggling to accommodate eager patrons. Also the only real working kitchen is on the lower floor and thus the selection of food can be disappointing at times in the cafe.

4 / 5 ★[In my opinion] Indoor entertainment is often poor - can't sing or can't play the instrument. Better to omit. Should ask a question on the garden/outdoor environment. Whilst this is well cared for we need more native NZ plants. And no attempts at topiary.
