3 / 5 ★With Ryman’s current financial situation, staff cuts etc, plus the disruption from ongoing remedial issues I have observed in the 12 years as a resident, I would not recommend Edmund Hillary. <br />
I would suggest information about Aged Advisor is at the beginning of the survey rather than at the end. It could help with the decision whether one wishes to complete this survey.

Spacious Grounds
3 / 5 ★Spacious grounds, gardens. Well maintained. Caring staff and respectful. Apartment (independent living) spacious. Maintenance issues responded to.

Very Noisy with Building Repairs
2 / 5 ★When I came here it was quiet and lovely. Two years ago it changed. We had a building being built at the back and the noise was terrible for a year, then came the repairs to our retirement village as it was slipping, and noise never stopped for a full year so now I believe they don't guarantee it won't happen again so why would I recommend it.

Sinking
1 / 5 ★Edmund Hillary was built in 2002 over a rubbish dump. This place continues to sink since May 2024. Please note we are sitting on top of methane gas and so I would never recommend this place.
