Greenview Park Retirement Village in Auckland is stated as "a medium size retirement village designed with you in mind. Established in 1997, there is a variety of housing options, with a total of 15 apartments with optional services, 16 one bedroom and 41 two bedroom villas. The landscaped gardens are mature and provide a pleasant setting in which to live."
Their website goes on to say that their "on-site hospital, Terence Kennedy House, is a residential aged care hospital with a reputation for an excellent standard of care. Lovely small village

4 / 5 ★As this is a small village so everyone knows each other and it is like a family. Every one looks out for their neighbours and gets on with each other. They are also allowed to bring their pets (not kittens or puppies) in the villas but not assisted apartments.

3 / 5 ★Greenview Village has about 85 independent residents so small by other standards.<br />
There are no staff in charge of entertainment - just a "residents" committee, unskilled in the role eg - consulting and receiving feedback, group control and openess to new ideas. eg - avoiding falls on what is a steep hill, not to mention inside villas.

3 / 5 ★Owner/ management is slow to respond. No maintenance done on inside of unit for 15 years. Only done when a health and safety issue.

3 / 5 ★1. Set up a 'Buddy System' for new residents to help them settle in.<br />
2. Display what to do in an emergency in prominent place by telephone in each unit / villa / apartment.
